About this project

It started with
really bad lunch.

A 5th grader, a terrible school cafeteria, and a question: does food actually have to taste like this?

I'm in 5th grade. Every day at lunch I'd sit down, look at whatever was on my tray, and think — this cannot be what food is supposed to taste like. Soggy pasta. Mystery meat. Things that had no business being called food.

So I started paying attention to what real food looked like. I watched chefs on YouTube. I found people like Gordon Ramsay, Nick DiGiovanni, Guga Foods — people who genuinely cared about what they were cooking and why. There was this whole world of food I'd never thought about.
Great food isn't complicated. Cacio e pepe is three ingredients. The best steak in the world is just good meat, a hot pan, and butter. Real food that actually tastes incredible is something anyone can make at home if they know what they're doing. Nobody was making that easy to find. So I built this site.
